About Us

our programs are an opportunity for beach volleyball enthusiasts to reach the next level of competitive doubles play

What is Beach Volleyball Thailand?

Beach Volleyball Thailand is a beach volleyball group, based on Koh Phangan, Thailand, where players from all over the world have the chance to come to the tropical paradise, to improve their beach volleyball game with mentoring and training.

Offering training sessions, monthly tournaments and open play, you have plenty of chance to join the social hub here, while enjoying the sun, sand, sea and games, on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

We also travel abroad to host trainings and tournaments (see gallery for Cambodian FIVB 2-Star 2018 Event) and also to participate in tournaments ourselves.

Meet The Director

Charlie Solares Chungyampin

Charlie was born and raised in California and has been living in Koh Phangan, Thailand for over 12 years. In 2004, he founded one of the islands top real estate companies, Sage Land and House. Being an avid sports enthusiast, Charlie began to try his hand at beach volleyball and quickly discovered that he not only had a knack for it, but he loved to play. Since then he has taken it upon himself to turn Koh Phangan into a beach volleyball destination, playing daily and organizing tournaments regularly. Over the years, Charlie began to build a network of beach volleyball contacts ranging from recreational players and avid spectators to FIVB professional competitors and trainers. Through these contacts the opportunity arose to begin workshops in Koh Phangan coached by professional athletes, from the AVP and the Olympics, and that was the birth of BVT.

Bvt’s aim

Beach Volleyball Thailand’s (BVT) aim is to help encourage others to find the same love of the sport, by giving them the support and coaching needed to make this happen.

Together, Charlie and Katie, can then continue to keep BVT running strong with a never ending stream of lovely, enthusiastic players and people visiting them to play and learn the sport from across the globe!
